Rotherfield Football Club
Rotherfield Football Club is a friendly village club, which has two sides that compete in the Robert Grey & Co. Mid Sussex Football League. The Sunday team that played in the West Kent Sunday Football League has now sadly folded. The Sunday team had many successful campaigns under the leadership of Justin Day. Rotherfield F.C. was formed in 1893 and originally played in the Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells Leagues. The club had many successful seasons winning many league and cup trophies. Rotherfield F.C. registered with the Mid Sussex Football League in 1993 but previous to that Rotherfield F.C. played in the Tonbridge Football League for 54 years.
Today Rotherfield have a strong club with an ever growing junior section, which helps children to become more confident in their football, gives youngsters a fair chance of playing football and in the long term future, strengthen the senior teams. The age range of the junior section is form four to fifteen years old, which is ran by a number of qualified coaches such as Roddy and Anne Harman, Mark Wilson, Andy Gribble, Graham Lelliot, Rob Jackson and assisted by Peter Ford David Kilby and Robin Paige on Saturday mornings 10:00am till 12:00pm.
Rotherfield Football Club has recently gained FA Charter Status. This is a grand achievement as Rotherfield are the only club in their league to have this status and they are the only local club to have this status on a club level and not just at junior level.

Rotherfield F.C. Supporters Club
The original Supporters Club was formed in the 1940’s, which provided funds for the running of the football club. The Supporters Club then folded and became the Rotherfield Sports Club, which formed the umbrella organisation for the football, cricket and bowls clubs. In 1999, the Supporters Club re-formed under the leadership of the present Chairman, Elliot Smith. With him and a small group of people, they now attempt to get Rotherfield F.C. noticed around the local area. The Supporters Club has set two strong aims:
1) To raise funding for Rotherfield F.C. and its causes.
2) To create awareness and promote Rotherfield F.C. to the villagers and people in the local area.
Recently the Supporters Club has run a number of successful quiz nights and a number of other fund raising events. At the beginning of the 2004/05 season the Supporters Club donate £125 to Rotherfield F.C. which proves how well we are doing.
