Iv raised my wonderful daughter here, and would recommend anyone looking to start a family and settle down in a pleasant, relaxing and undoubedly freindly area to come and look around. Love and Peace to you all, from the rather cold, but nevertheless beautiful Rotherfield! Brian (and Sarah) Saunders.

Wrote... I love visiting relatives in Rotherfield and the beautiful country walks around are a real thrill for a city-dweller like myself. On my visits I am always shocked however at how traffic is allowed to thunder through the village with total disregard for pedestrians. Has there ever been a campaign to introduce some traffic calming? I know speed bumps are annoying but a lot of councils are now introducing 20mph zones contolled purely by those radar/camera things that flash up 'SLOW DOWN' at vehicles travelling too fast. Do the pedestrians of Rotherfield agree that this would vastly improve quality of life and reinforce the village community atmosphere? Anyone else agree?

I have visited many times, most recently a few weeks ago and actually lived in the village for several years as well. Will miss it dearly now that both my grand-parents are deceased, but will still visit and hope to buy one day. ROTHERFIELD is England to me, it's my home! The village itself is gorgeous so quaint, so special. It has a real warmth about it. Don't change too much. What you have is very special, very unique.
